There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

You lift in the center and place the jack stands under the A-arms but you need to get it 24" off the ground. That may not be possible with your jack or jack stands.

On what you have to work with. If your A stands extend to 24" you can use them or put blocks under them to get the height needed. Now to get her up that high to use the stands is the harder part. The atv/motorcycle lift I have has extensions but if not you may have to step it up. Raise up and placed the stands then block up the lift and raise again... ramps work for many as well...:thumbup:

If he has the same jack the extensions will get it up high enough but the issue is stabilizing it at that height. Typical jack stands for motorcycle use aren't that tall. It will require a 2 step lift because you can't fit the motorcycle lift with the extensions in place under the Spyder. So you have to lift the Spyder place jack stands under it, drop the lift, add the extensions and lift again. At this point you could place blocks under the jack stands to get the required height but I would try to get all of the preliminary work done with the Spyder at the lower height so that when you raise it you just have to pull the old bar and insert the new one. Then you can lower the Spyder back to a safer height and complete the installation.

Not an option for most
I just replaced the sway bar on my F3 Friday and this time instead of having the front on a jack and trying to carefully balance it without dropping it (this is how I did my ST, Not a safe option but it worked). This time I used straps on each side of my lower A arms and used the front lift arms on my tractor with the bucket removed and slowly lifted the F3 until it was high enough.

When I did my sway bar I placed two ramps on the tailgate of my truck and placed the bike half way up.. Use the emergency bank and block the rear tire.
I think it is much safer that trying to balance it on a jack and stands

Lifting an F3
Good morning all!! Got my F3 lifted and the stabilizer changed. But not without
removing things not mention in the instructions. I have a bike lift that is 48" wide
and modified it my placing a 2"x10" cut to 65" long and bolted to the end of the
lift. Had to use my ramps to run the scoot upon the table. Strapped it in front and
applied the brake after lifting about 28". I will test it all out when it quits raining.
