• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

License plate to small for RT-622 trailer

So I finally got the license plates for my RT and trailer. The RT didn't come with any screws for the license plate. :lecturef_smilie: However, I somehow was smart enough to save the two screws and nuts that come off when you install the SpyderPops Belt Guard (Pretty easy install BTW, except for getting at that rear 10mm nut . So I used those screws and nuts to install the license plate.

Also got the SpyderPops Bump skid installed yesterday. That was interesting but wasn't too bad. Between the belt guard and the bump skid I spent about 3.5 hours doing the installs. Looks pretty good now.

Next was the RT-622 trailer. There's good news and bad news about this. The good news is the trailer does include the screws. The bad news, is that the screws are too wide for the license plate. :gaah: I'm going to have to find a bracket of some sort to mount the other side of the license plate. Anyone else run into this problem and if so, how did you solve it?

Thanks,

Tony

The trailer plate size is a state by state thing. Some states actually offer both sizes. The RT-622 is designed for the automotive sized plates. If your state has only the smaller, motorcycle type plates, you will have to fabricate an adapter. There is no commercial answer that I know of.
