• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Libertyville Candlewood Spyder checkup = SCRATCHES!

Like alot of folks, I decided to take advantage of the free belt tension and adjustment while staying at the Candlewood. I had him check both of our Spyders.

Today, while cleaning the Spyders, I was disappointed to see scratches on both of our swing arms! :gaah:

:yikes: How did they adjust ( set ) your belt tension ? Had them look at mine , jacked it up, felt the belt and said it was in spec ! I said don,t you have a gage and he said they didn't bring it and that he has done enough tension adjustments to know when it is with-in spec.:dontknow:

Both Spyders were too tight. He did it by "feel". I saw him use channel locks or some other type of wrench. In addition, he adjusted the alignment of my belt.

I sent him (Jim Potts) an email explaining what happened. What would one expect to have a dealership do in a situation like this?

It does stink. If it wasn't for the fact that it was a free service they were doing outside of Candlewood Suites, I would at least demand a full refund. I'm really not sure what they would give you being they did the adjustment for free.
