• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Lets see if Anyone has had this problem ?

OK I will try and explain best I can :yikes: When in first gear it shows neutral when you take off N & R lights flash and E show in gear display shift into anything else and all is OK it only happens when in first gear and sometimes it will show 1 only to change to E and N & R lights start flashing. Rode it for miles to get home and everything else is OK and thoughts as to what to check? Oh forgot........................ one limp mode, shut down restart and limp went away but the other problem just will not clear.

Reset or replace Gear Position Sensor.

.

I *think* the GPS adjustment is physical, but they will likely connect it up to look for codes and they will do the updates then no doubt. The worst thing that will come from the update is it might discover an underlying issue with the DPS and require replacement.

You do need a new GPS, and it will have to be calibrated. No dealer is allowed to perform service of any kind on a Spyder without applying the steering recall. Sorry.

Sounds like you are talking about an SE5. If so, another thing to check would be the Gear Shift lever make sure its tight on the Clutch Shaft. (left side of the bike, near the foot peg) When the Bike is in Neutral, the lever should be pointed almost straght down. It may be loose and working its way off the clutch shaft. If its an SM5, I would also check the linkage just to verify it is tight. I do agree, it is also quite possible the GPS.

Glad this did not turn into a bashing post :2thumbs: Looks like everyones thouhts were right bad GPS................. should be riding Friday :doorag:
