• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Let the fun begin--a note from the Mrs.

I know many of you don't know me but just wanted to put my own welcome and well wishes for those of you who are preparing for your trip to Cuba.

I keep thinking about the first year when a 30 person BBQ turned into a full weekend event with over 100 participants. We were blown away with what occurred that year--three days of ultimate fun and new friendships. It was literally the Monday post event that we started talking about what could we possibly do the next year to make things amazing.

When I found out our daughter would be arriving within a few weeks of the event I had to take a backseat on the planning excitement to keep that baby in the oven. The group who has become known as the MoGang stepped in and helped Len pull the event off without a hitch. I think I can confidently say, any concerns had about living up to the first year were put to rest early on.

Now we are three years in, over 500 attendees committed, and an incredible schedule of events planned--the week is going to rock!

To Lamont, thank you for running the site and the support of the event. It truly has become a signature SpyderLovers event.

To the MoGang--I cannot believe the tremendous amount of dedication and energy you all put into making this event possible. Thank you for the support you give to Len's crazy ideas. He's really good entertainment, but you all help make the vision he has a reality.

Most importantly to the folks driving from all over the country--thank you! Without you there would be no Spyderfest. There's a great schedule, but I think everyone will agree it's the people that make spyderfest the awesome event it is!

As you can imagine between work and three kids at my house (2 under the age of 30) there is a lot of craziness, and that will go up a few notches over the next several weeks, but to quote Len, "Game On!"

Safe Travels--I'll see you in Cuba, MO!

There was one hitch last year. You didn't have the baby during Spyderfest. We were all willing to escort you to the hospital and help you celebrate the joyous occasion Spyder Style. I'm sure the hospital wouldn't have minded 200 plus Spyders in their parking lot.:yes:

Amen sister!

And yes it is almost Game Time!!
:clap::clap::clap::yes::yes::yes::clap::clap::clap:

We first thought my due date was Spyderfest weekend. Len went :yikes:

It was touch and go Sat night of the fest. We were thankful she waited a week so we could get some much needed rest before the 2:00 am feedings started.

Thank you very much for the warm and heartfelt post. SWMBO and I are soooo looking forward to meeting the LADY that puts up with Len's shenanigans. Oh what a handful those kids will be. :roflblack:

Again, thank you and C U there.

Been on the road since last August

We are a paltry 750 miles from Cuba, Mo, but we are in South Central Texas at the moment... going to go to Georgetown for a spyder tour meet tomorrow... we have our spyder with us... but schedules and budgets won't allow us to take a side trip like that... :opps: We are still around... Glenn and the Big Bird...:banghead:

Looking forward to seeing you again!!

One year ago, yup you were 'uncomfortable'. And you were praying with me for our new grandson, Britton, born at 26 weeks and 1lb 2oz. Look at him now....

And a big Thank You to Mrs Pitbull Buggy. Thank You for loaning Len to the Spyder world, not only during Spyderfest but year around. By the way we within the MoGang know you're the Master planner and the one who takes his crazy ideas and figures out how to make them work. How you managed to keep a smile on your face in your condition last year amazes me.
