If you check out the Turo site, this is currently only available in 3 states in the US - California (6 places), Nevada (2 places) and South Carolina (one site). It would be a bit more helpful or accurate if the guy in S. Carolina knew the difference between the RTL and the F3L - the photos of the two bikes are interchanged with the other's description, so that what you think you are getting is not actually what you're seeing, or believe you could be renting. Great idea, though, for someone wanting to have a Spyder holiday while away from home. The S. Carolina listing gives you up to 1000 included miles of travel for your one-day (24 hr) rental period at a cost of $84. Of course, you'd have to ride pretty much the whole time and average a bit over 40 mph (including pit stops) to get full value (or full use) out of your contract. But, hey, it's hard not to want to ryde a Spyder if it's available!!!

BTW, the Reno and Vegas sites list Rykers available (Vegas at $19/day). The Vegas site also has a rental listing for an F3L which is posted with a pic of an RTL. (mention this only for the most discriminating of consumers, of course, some of whom are very particular about which model of Spyder upon which they actually wish to ryde).

The Vegas guy currently rents Slingshots so I highly doubt he is as familiar with Spyders as the article would lead you to believe.

Some States provide for secondary liability coverage (and physical damage coverage... if your vehicle has it). New York happens to be one of them. It would be worthwhile to check with your local Insurance Agent, and see if they play this game also... :clap: :thumbup::
