There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. what a **** show, tranny fault after wrapping the exhaust, oil leak on the left side in towards the engine from the water pump, I think it the gasket that goes across the right side of the engine.

SO I am going to have to drop off the death machine at st cloud tommorow so I can make lamonsters bbq, anyone know how to clear a tranny fault code? it will not shift, it starts and the toggle does nothing.

I tried to unhook the battery and checked all the connects we did unhook.

****!!!!!!!

here are the pics.

my roommate just got his smithy in too, it is pretty awsome, one of the few pluses of the night.

Hi Seth.

Regarding the shifting - I thought for sure I read something about the SE5 having trouble shifting into first from a stop. I thought it was in the troubleshooting procedures in the Owners Manual, but I could be dreaming. I seem to recall something about using a wrench under the left side of the Spyder. Not sure this is a help to get yours moving, but could? Anyone else heard of this?

Which codes are you getting on cluster?

Regarding clearing the codes - Does the turn-off / on ignition three times trick work, I wonder?

There is some time between now and Lamont's BBQ, so fingers crossed it will get sorted in time!
Cheers and good luck and keep us in the loop.

I'd guess that you knocked loose a wire (or failed to reconnect it) when wrapping the pipes, causing the tranny fault. Oil leak from the water pump is a known issue. They said at first it was a bolt hole drilled into an oil passage, but now they are blaming an oil passage too close to the bolt hole, leaking oil when the gasket blows. My RTS has the same darned leak. If they have a sure cure, let us know. Meanwhile, if it bothers you, try some Permatex on the screw.

You know what those of us that ride old Brit bikes say...if the oil doesn't get on the back tire, you're good to go! :joke:

gasket needs to be replaced, there is a siloniod cluch ground fault or open switch fault on the budds system, I got there right when they were closing the wrench that I know says it looks like a fault in a wire, could not find one that F'ed up but he give me a call about it.

I have not drove a cage other than grabbing stuff in dirt town since I got my spyder back from cuba sproket break issue. boring as hell driving them and its too easy and i drive with my hands.

I will know more in few days.

talked to the wrench today, 2 of the wires pulled away from the posts in the wire harness by the oil resivor, he fixed that and it works great.

The oil leak was coming from a weep hole by the waterpump, apperently there is a shaft that oil on one side and colant on the other by the waterpump and that gasket is F'ed so they ordered it and hopefully wednesday I can get it before I go back to work, so I am death machine'less for my 5 day off. I guess its back to throwing rocks at the neighbors kids.

At least it is something that can be fixed. Luther honda house in St. Cloud,mn is LEGIT. Dave is a rider and a spyder machanic so if you are in the great white north it is the place to go.

Got it back and the new DPS is night and day. I had no problems before or so I thought, rocket handling now.

the front alignment was off 4 inches from when it "aligned" at the BRP chicago event.

Oil leak fixed it was the waterpump shaft oring.

If you fenders shake at high speeds you need a aligment, just thought it was because of the deer hit, not the case.

SB bob, bigarm and I rode around a bit and ate before I blew back north and replaced the rear tire.

Man its great to have the death machine back.
Got some picks I will put up soon.

On the Road again!!!!!!!!!!

:congrats: on getting your problems taken care of. I'll bet the cops are happy with you back on the road. Maybe notas much time to eat donuts.:D

I happen to be in the Twin Cities this week watching grand-kids, and got a call from Seth, for a meet-up. Had breakfast with him and Studybaker Bob this morning. Sorry I didn't get a couple of pics to post.
Anyway Seth, I hope all your problems with the Spyder are taken care of now !!! Sounds like you got a real good wrench there in St. Cloud.
Glad to hear you got that rear tire changed, before it blew out on you, knowing how fast you travel :yikes:
Take care

there are pics of the antique motorcycle show on the the pics in the album, there is a great 34 moto guzzi. Got the new rear on there and am putting the popps air damn on today.

The NEW dps is great, i can not say enough about how much better the spyder handles with the alignment and the DPS upgrade.

I am still working on working on getting the time off for lamonts party,

Leaves are changing up here if people are into looking at that kind of thing. It is pretty cool if you have not seen it up here.
