• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

LEDs

I have TricLED and Custom Dynamics LEDs installed on our 2010 RTS-SE5 and have been happy with both companies products.

Is TricLED DOT approved

Since it has been mentioned, would someone who knows actually tell us if TricLED's reflective amber and red side lights are DOT approved or are simply reflective ? DOT approval is a long and expensive process to go through so I wonder if any of the custom products advertised here are DOT approved. Ron? Anne ? Reggie ?

reflectivity

All I have to do is imagine my Spyder sidelined on the shoulder of a busy interstate at night (ran out of gas, maybe? who knows -- it can happen) to acknowledge that having a decent set of red reflectors showing up from a LONG way back in the beam of the traffics' headlights is a desirable thing.

I've seen too many dead vehicles parked on the shoulder that wouldn't have been visible until the last moment had it not been for the reflectors. When your key is off, your battery dead, etc, that's all you got!

I'm angry at you all!!!

After I installed my SpyderPops stainless steel grills, my SpyderPops missing belt guard and my SpyderFlaps mud flap, I decided I was done $pending on farkles for a while. Then I read this post yesterday and ordered $350 of front fender lighting.

I blame each and every one of you!

Tricled parts should arrive today

The front fender side amber LEDs and reflector turn signals, rear red LEDs/reflectors/brake lights should arrive today. Now I just need to convince my wife this is the most useful thing I can do this coming weekend.:bowdown:

Surely she'll understand why this is more important than painting our kitchen, hanging pictures, or building a swing-set with my son for my grand kids.

Good Luck!
You could mention that these additions to the bike are really easy, and should take no time at all...
...For something as important as the house projects: you might need some more time, to formulate a plan of attack... :D

Don't do what I did and install the rear covers after installing the brake light. Then found out I had to take them all off to do the Rear Saddle Bag Lights.
