• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

LED'S QUESTION

Sorry if this sounds real stupid....but bear with me....

I have the 2011 rss black edition

I am going to purchase the stingerz st5 led kit from custom dynamics in blue. I love the glow of these the only problem is it does a poor job of lowing the rims/wheels.

So I thought about in conjuction with the stingerz purchasing the gloryders kit in blue to make the wheels bright

I have 2 questions:

1) if i bought blue from stingerz and blue from glo ryders would they be the same blue color or would it clash? I have the black rims

2) Would the glo ryder be bright on black rims?

It's a fair question. No apology needed :)

The likelihood of the blues matching is low. Even from the same mfg, but different lots, I've seen differences. You MIGHT be able to get a decent answer by asking Kurt directly -- [email protected]

Essentially he said as long as I stay with main colors "blue,yellow,red..." that it should be the same because most led's are made from one of two manufacturers in Asia

Man if this is the case my bike will be bright! Because that's what I hate about led kits is they never glow the wheels...but adding the two together will be sweet

Only prob is I will have to powder coat the cap black because they don't come in colors

Would the glo ryder be bright on black rims?

Hi Luckyc1423,

In answer to your second question, "2) Would the glo ryder be bright on black rims?"; my guess is no.

My blue glo ryders worked well with the stock rims on my 2009 Spyder GS. They did not reflect as well on my 6-spoke custom wheel rims. I did not used them on my black RS-S mags becuase I suspect they would reflect even less on these rims. (note: I am talking about the reflection off the outer rim. They are still visible from the direct side lights).

Regards,
Stanley
