LEDs or HIDs bulbs for Low beam

Hi guys, I owns a ST Limited 2013.
l'm thinking of changing the factory helogen blubs low beam HB3 to LEDs or HIDs that matchs the fender lights color temp.
But didnt know which color temp, watts and lumen should I get for the best/ideal results.
Not looking at the sponsers blubs as they are very costly to me.
Any advice?
Thanks in advance..Cheers

I had HID's installed in my 08 GS. They were so bright that I was nearly run off the road twice.

I am going to give LED's a chance on my 2014. Time will tell.

I had a set of HID's for the high beams.
The color matched the fender lights, but my low beams were still yellowish.
I put in Lamonster's LED bulbs for the headlights AND the foglights.
I've been out several times at night and I'm very happy with the LED bulbs.

Just my opinion, I could be wrong.

Don't forget overseas models are different - in Australia and likely in Singapore, our low beam is a separate light in the spot where USA fog lights go. The other lights are high beam only, not flickable.

Jon, I am currently trying to find out how to make our low beam lights less yellow. No luck so far but have learned from Lamonster Downunder that none of the USA options will fit. He has a lead on a solution. If anything is found, I will post it here.

I saw a youtube where where someone in England figured out how to reinstate the upper low beam (the one in with our high beam) but that still leaves our yellow low beams...

Hi loisk, i have compare the fender light to my car HID 6000k and is not the same tone.
So now im guessing either 8000k or 10000k color temp. likely i will go with the 8000k LEDs but before i proceed.
Hopefully someone here can have did theirs and share on the best/ideal color temp. watts, lumen and brands..

hi there well im in aus and have fitted the led conversion in both my top and lower light assy and have the pogotronic conversion that keeps all four lights on at high beam.
they are fantastic spread and length is great, heaps better than the oe crap.much less heat into the light covers too,so no melting when run on high beam.
i used a brand named j w walker for the top and bottom.btw i run a 2014 rtlt.in aus you can buy them from burson auto parts.

Thanks Stu. It's worth trying to see if they fit my f3s, which by the looks has the same low beam arrangement as my old Rs and st. . But different to the rt - still could be the same bulb.
Shall take a trip to bursons.

I had the pogo thing on my st. Was great.

Hi stu,
Thanks for sharing, interesting.
May I know what is the color temp. watts & lumen of the LEDs you are using?
Is the LEDs same color temp. as our fender light?
Btw how to do pogotronic conversion?
Looking forward to hear from you soon...Cheers

ok a few techy questions there.the colour is a bright white light it makes the oe halogen look like yellow candles.the watts lumens im not sure,i did it a year ago so dont have the boxes.the colour is very close to the fender light on the 2014 rt lt just a lot brighter so they actually match better in appearances.the pogotronics is made by a guy in austalia,im guessing google him.hes also on ozspyderyders.the four lights on at the same time is just amazing compared to the old style.for the aussie two light set up you need two different boxes.one says h8 h9 h11 h16 base type on it the other says hb3 base type.i was concerned being a canbus system it might put a code into it but it was plug and play.if you do get a fault they make a can bus resistor kit.if your handy you should be able to fit the kit yourself.loisk if yours takes any of the bulbs mentioned then the kit should fit,
the globes have a allen ky to adjust the beam in the base holder,i did tweak the alignment slightly so just check it befor you put all the plastci back on.
