• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

LED quick release connectors?

I need a splitter 1:3 for the LED connectors for our spyder. It’s the quick release type you find on the tricled led kits or spyderpops LED bump skid. They are about 1/4 inch square 2 pin. Male end has a clip and female has a square hook. What is the type or name for those connectors? I found tricled makes a 1:4 splitter for their multi DRL kit. It would work but not sure if 1 lead was left open under the a arm if it would short everything if it got wet. I could wrap with tape. I’ve done google searches for quick release connectors and can’t find the actual type. I’m sure if I have the name of the connector Amazon would have them. Just need a start. Mouser I’m sure has them too. Just don’t know the name or type.

This is what I’m looking for. Cindy from tricled said I can fill the one not used with dielectric grease and wrap with tape and if worried shot of silicone and heat shrink the end closed. If you look at the picture of the application, that’s what I’m doing but only need one for the bump skid, one for the fender lights and a single led for one side. So a 1:3 is what I need.

If your handy with wiring Amazon has several 2,3,4 &5 -pin JST-SM connector sets to chose from. You can make your own harness. I have one set on order now to build the harness I want for all my add on lights.

Just make sure that you check the connections where the wire is crimped onto the terminal with a small tug. You'd hate to go through a lot of time and trouble just to find a wire was not crimped good and pulled out.
