• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

LED question

The Spyder line, like almost all bikes is under-lighted and needs the factory lights/reflectors augmented for visibility safety. I don't particularly want to deal with the voltage differences in the turn signals/brake light incandescents and LEDs so initially all the lights I want to add will be on all the time for visibility. I am looking at Custom Dynamics MagicFLEX single color LED arrays. I imagine there is an accessory fuse they can be run from? Has anyone put some of these lights in the channel on your front fender? Anyone used them on the trunk or on the area around the license plate? I am looking for low-cost effective visibility augmentation and not really interested in the purpose-built stuff that is sold due to cost.

I have TricLed channel lights on my 2012 RTS fenders. Also have Wiredux LEDs on the A Arms and Wiredux RGB controlled LEDs underneath the Spyder. On the wife's 2014 RTS I installed the TricLed Halo on the rear BRP logo and the TricLed third brake light. Yes, they are not cheap, but the quality and service is excellent.

You say that you are looking at the single color LED for your fenders? That may cause you problems in some states, most people use the two color with red to the rear and amber or white to the front for the fender channel.

While I use many Custom Dynamics lights like the High Mount Rear Brake Light, I use many more Tric-LEDs as their customer service is second to none.

I stuck with yellow sides, red back and white tip light..And they are bright from custom dynamics..also installed the high mount led running brake light on the trunk with no issues with the bike.
I went with the plug adapters to and no splicing of my bike harness.

Some states have regulations on light colors... but this has to do with confusion over emergency vehicles. If you use blue/red in combo such as putting blue LEDs on the back, at least in Texas, the LEOs will not appreciate it. If you stick with amber towards the front and red in the rear you will be OK most anywhere.
Remember, I am looking at adapting universal/generic and not using expensive Can-Am specific stuff...
