• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

LED lights regulator

I am going to put LED's on my Spyder and was reading an article that recommends putting a regulator on them to protect them from damage from while the bile is charging at 14 volts. Has any one run them direct or should I put a regulator on?

LED - REGULATOR ?????

I'm not sure what you mean by this ...... What most people do is have a separate fuse block and power your extra electric items off that ....... except for things that won't work unless they are tied into the BRP system like turn signals - they aren't in the CAN-BUS anyway .......jmho...... Mike

The lights are rated at 12 volts but the battery can get as high as 14 volts when the Spyder is running and charging. I was concerned the excess voltage would damage the LED lights.

Any quality set of lights will be properly built to handle the systems voltage fluctuations....

If you check the specs of the lights you want to get youll probably see they are rated at much higher than 12 volts.
