There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. LED headlight longevity/durability

I recently purchased a set of LED headlights from TRICLED for my F3-S. I was just wondering what kind of longevity/durability I can expect to get out of these? They look very quality made. Not trying to start any bashing fest, just want some input/feedback from people that have these lights already. Thanks everyone!

Cindy I think you need to check your stats again. If your numbers were true, then the bulbs are only rated to last about 6 days riding time. Either the stat is wrong or these are absolutely the wrong lamps for the application.

Sorry it was late when I type this.
I meant to type 35-50K hours
35,000-50,000 hours.
Left the "K"

LUMEN rating

What is the LUMEN rating number on the headlight and fog light bulbs???

thank you, larryd

Question. For. Trikled my question is according to a spyder tech site they don't recommend adding after market l e d. Lights. On the spiders do to the bus electrical systems. I really like the blue strike with the blue lights and the black one. With the white lights. What is an Aprox cost to do a lighting system.

They are 2880 lumens each but you really can't solely use lumens as a judge for headlights. Without the right chip, throw distance in the shaft the lumens doesn't mean much. We've seen headlight way brighter and only throw out 30' of light then it was hard to see after that. You really want a light that is focused and can deliver the distance and that's where it really counts. Hope this helps . Thank you.

LED's and HEAT

From what I've read about LED headlights, if they don't have sufficient cooling the LUMEN output can diminish quite a bit. The type that have the BRAIDS ( for a heat sink ) on the back are designed with this consideration, and since the Braids can't fail they will function as designed better / longer. The type with the FAN ( for cooling ) need that fan to be working, otherwise there is NO COOLING !!!!..... The likelihood of FAN failure / longevity, is a good question........I don't have that answer...............But I absolutely believe the FAN needs to be working............................Mike :bbq:

The reason I chose these LED's over one with a heat sink was the ability to re-use the rubber boot for the headlight cover. It just seems like the boot should be there to keep out dirt, dust, water, etc...

I’m still hesitant with purchasing the TriLED’s because of the mechanical cooling. What drew my interest with their Headlight/Fog lights are their ease of application (plug & play) but my concern is with longevity.

I installed the rubber boot on my F3 headlights with the braided heat sinks. Boot works fine.

Did you put the heat sinks through the boot so they stick out the back? Some pictures of your install would be nice and appreciated, if possible.

As I understand it, the fans in my LEDs are a brushless motor design. Same style motor as a computer fan, and we know they last a long time. Only contacting parts are the bearings since there is no motor brushes to wear out.

.....Well this answers that question :thumbup::thumbup:..............Someone asked and Cindy never got back with an answer........Thanks Paul...............Mike :bbq:
