• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

LED bulbs

If you're good with tools; the headlight bulbs are pretty easy (I'm not... :opps:)
But I would offer the suggestion that it's best to let someone change the fog-light bulbs, who has a bunch of experience with it... nojoke

But they ARE worth the change!

Fog light install

OK, to clear this up:
1330 RT models are vastly different than 990 models. The older ones are much easier. The new ones have a snorkle that runs beside the fog light cover, making it difficult to do. The right side is fairly easy, and gives you a bit of confidence as to how to do it. The left side is very tight, and we are still experimenting with a cost effective way to do this. Our local Tech, Jon, says to remove the frunk! We will try that on the next one. Reggie says to swing the cover inboard, and not remove it. We have tried removing tupperware, the fog light fasteners, the snorkle, and none are easy, let alone supereasy! In fact, Ill offer a reward for a video of someone doing a set of fog lights on a 1330 RT in 30 minutes or less! My paypal trigger finger is poised to hit send!!
On the headlights, both mirrors, both wind deflectors, both side panels, the headlight cover (transformer mask) headlight adjuster cables, headlight assemblies, then you can remove the cover to get to the light. I've done 4 sets in the last 5 days. The one trick we learned: a bit of tape on the bolt for the top center headlight assembly to hold it in the socket to start it. The bolts are alloy, so no magnet sticks. Dropping the bolt causes a series of cursewords to spew forth from the body spontaneously and in a loud voice, mostly from Ann!
