• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

LED accent lights on RT - add-on question

I have the straight RT. On the RTS and Limited they have those small round lights that are LED's located in the same place where the head lights are- on the RT there is just a chrome looking plug in there taking the place of the real lights. I bought a set of those LED lights to install. Any advice on this (did not see it in the mods area) or if there is a straight-forward place to plug them in? It may all be obvious once I pull the panels. I am doing this in conjunction with the speaker replacement (polk speakers everyone else is putting in).

Thanks in advance for your help. If none I will post this with pics in the RT Mods forum when I complete the project.

I'll field this, and I'll say in advance that I have the RTS so my lights came with the LEDs so I might be inaccurate.

You'll need to pull the tupperware AND the light housings. Sounds daunting, but it's not all that bad. DO remember to disconnect the headlight height adjustment flexible line. If you don't, you'll yell at yourself trying to figure out why the dadgum light housing will not come out. Experience.

On the back of the housings you should see 3 screws that hold in the blanks. You should also see wiring connector that isn't being used. You can use that connector to power the LEDs that you insert. I would advise to make sure that whatever you put in place of the plugs seals the housing to keep out dirt and moisture.

Here's the back of the RTS housing-

You can see the LED fixture at the bottom. This pic is from a series I did on converting the heads to HID.

As Phil mentions, the install is straight forward. If you don't have, and need the instructions, let me know and I can e-mail them to you.
