• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. Leaving WA for Durango

Wife and I have left Whidbey Island for our first long trip on our RT. Should prove interesting.

Gary

Remember Gary, it takes two hands for beginners! Do not drive too many miles a day. Check in early, have a cold one and give wifey a little attention. You will enjoy the trip more.;) Lived on Bainbridge IS for twenty five years. Miss it.

Durango

We are leaving Northern California tomorrow and will pick up few Spyders on Monday from Reno, if you happen to cross Reno on Monday, join us, we will be more then 10 Spyders going to Durango.

Wife and I left Seattle today for Durango. In Richland, WA tonight, and heading down through Boise, ID tomorrow. Only saw one RT today but it was going the other way! So presumably not joining us in Colorado.

See you all there!

Crossed paths with Gary and his red RT today just east of Twin Falls, Idaho. He and his wife just happened to choose the same gas station/restaurant we did! So we promised to look each other up in Durango.

Made it to UTAH.

The wife and I just finished day three and are holed up in Brigham City. The bike (RUBY) has been running like a top. The trailer has had some problems. Tows just fine, lost one fender and I just found the other one broken in half. I'll have to think on metal fenders with a more secure mounting system. Hope to make it through most of UTAH tomorrow.

One bad thing did come up between the wife and I during this trip. She has decided that she likes "driving" better than "riding". Dang, we just got the bike in September and now she's mumbling about a second Spyder???? Whats a guy to do (besides buying another Spyder that is)???

Gary

We are 7 bikes stopped for the night in Elko, tomorrow night we will be in Price UTAH.

Leaving for Durango on Wednesday. Last event in Colorado was great and the million dollar ride was breathtaking - looks like the weather will be in the 80's - perfect for mountain riding.

Day 4 - made it to Green River

Just checked into the River Terrace Inn. Lovely room - has A/C that is on full blast. That last 109 miles between Salina and Green River is just a killer.Great scenery, but the afternoon temp was in the high 90's to low 100's. Who wants to stop the blessed wind at that temp? Planning to get out early and get through the Moab desert area before it gets too hot.

I am just not made for this, Guys.

Gary

P.S. The trailers second fender jumped ship someplace south of Salt Lake City.
Karma! Who did I kick?

Met one couple on a black RT with trailer at a gas stop in Price, and saw them again at the next gas stop too. Whoo boy yes it is dang hot out here!

Also saw two RT gentlemen by the side of the road, so we pulled over to assist. They were coming in from San Jose. They were already calling for a flatbed, and said they were okay, so on we went.

Staying today in Moab, there are five other Spyders in the parking lot. :D
