• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. Leaking water pump seal

Took my 2012 RT in for the 14,000 mile service on July 17 and the dealer found the water pump seal leaking. It's been two weeks and still waiting for the seal. Hope it gets here before fall weather comes. Don't want to miss the great riding here in the Smokies.

Sounds like u have a bad shaft and seals hope all goes well, this seems to be an ongoing problem with the watter pumps ( Warentee Repairs)

Sounds like your tech gave things a good going over. Now if he would button up the Spyder so you could use it until the seal comes in, he'd be an ace. The water pump seal normally just weeps when it fails. It should not present any great problems or excessive coolant (or oil) loss, and should not prevent use of the Spyder.

I had the same issue with my 2012 RT. Started leaking a small amount; took it in to the dealer, and they diagnosed it as this. Said they have had several with the same issue. Ordered the parts, took the RT back to the shop. 6 hour job from start to finish. But got it fixed, and no issues since then.

The tech told me to drive it very little until the leak was fixed. I drove it around 600 miles while the seal was on order. No additional problems.

Yep same here with the leak repaired, also changed the hoses and thermostat housing all within warentee so far so good 700 miles no leaks.

Me too. I noticed mine toward the end of the summer last year. Put another 1000 miles on the machine while the parts were on order and to finish out the season. Just kept an eye on the coolant level. Had the dealer do the pump over the winter. I have about 2500-3000 on the new pump with no issues.:2thumbs:
