• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Leaking valve covers

Well called the dealer today to see if they found the source of my oil leak and was told they have to replace two valve cover gaskets and a plug wire. Parts are being ordered with no idea when they'll have them. Apparently there is a distribution center in Georgia and if they have the parts it could be a couple days if they've got to come from Canada then at least 10 days and maybe longer.

Gotta admit that I'm entirely po'd with Brp at this point. 9K miles and I've had a bad relay, bad battery, bad exhaust gasket, the squealing brakes, and now leaky valve gaskets and bad plug wire. All things that I don't believe should happen in 9k miles. Now I understand this is a first run vehicle and bad things will happen but it's still frustrating for someone who rides every single day.

Any chance those leaking valve cover gaskets are related to the 6,000 mile service and checking the valve shims? :dontknow:

:agree:Thats wat happened to me but dealer made good for it rear gasket got krimped a little bit.

I would have expected the problem to show up sooner than 3k miles later. I'm right at 9k miles and this problem just showed up. I'm very meticulous about my bikes and their upkeep. I had inspected the bike closely before my Key West run last weekend and there were no problems. Looked under it this Friday because I noticed some oil spots under it and the frame was covered in oil.
