• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Leaking Spyder!

remark2013

New member
We have a 2014 RTL and have an antifreeze leak on the upper hose where the T is between the two radiators. I have removed the Frunk, which is when I was able to spot where it was leaking from, and was wondering how does one access the main hose clamp (before the T)? Do I need to remove the Faring/dash as well? I am not sure that I still have warranty coverage for this any more. BTW....this will be the second time we have had a water leak in the same place, first time was covered by warranty.

Thanks for any and all the help, Kent.

many dealers give a new "one item" warranty on previous warranty repairs. Sounds kind of like they
fixed the symptom but not the disease.
IF your dealer doesn't want to re-do the repair, they should at least tell you best access you need to effect the repair yourself.
Good luck with your issue.

Same issue

My 2014 rts is at the dealer now being repaired for exact same issue. The service mngr said it was a known issue and that brp ok'd the warranty repair. I am guessing your 2014 should also be under warranty, give your dealer a shout and see what they say.

Good luck

WARRANTY ISSUE ON THIS

You want to get the Warranty thing straightened out ASAP ...... Because if it EXPIRES you won't be able to get a BEST warranty extension. Your dealer can give you the info you need over the phone with a call ....... You can shop for the a better price from any dealer ( Like Pitbull in Mo. ) because it's a BRP warranty ........ good luck, Mike

Thanks for all the info guys, planning on calling my dealer today just to make sure if we do and what all is covered. We have a fellow Spyder Ryder who has a 14 and had a water pump leaking. His water Pump was replaced under warranty but the hoses was not. He was charged with the labor for hoses and fluids, over $400.00. For that much I can do the work myself!

Just got off the phone with the dealer.....Best warranty does not cover hoses or clamps. Dealer says to replace top 3 hoses with labor and fluids aprox. $1000.00 :yikes:. Ill do the work myself for that much, thank you very much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead:

Going to try high quality clamps first, but looking at "Cheep Cycle Part" I can purchase all 3 hoses and the T for about $100.00.
