• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Leaking brake fluid!!!

I seem to have a problem with leaking brake fluid.:yikes: It is coming right out of the first reservoir under the cap. I thought maybe it was the cap itself so I swapped the front one with the back one, and still have a serious leak. Almost like it is building up pressure and being forced out of the cap. I have had to add brake fluid twice this month to the front reservoir. Any ideas what could be doing this? And is it something I can fix myself without driving the hour and a half to the dealer to fix? Anybody else having this problem?

That's a serious problem and not something you should be monkeying around with. Still under warrenty and let the dealer solve that problem for you. That's what the warrenty is for.

Thanks alot. Mine does not fall under this notice, but this is exactly what is happening to mine. Will it be an issue to get it fixed even though it is not on this recall list?

might have some expansion going on now that it is warmer you said you added twice did you add when real cold :ani29:

problem solved

The leaking brake fluid is coming straight out of the cap?
this is a common problem when caps are fitted incorrectly.
the solution is as simple as this, remove the caps from the reserviors and remove the rubber seals from inside the caps. clean well with a rag and clean the top of the reserviors aswell.
apply a very small amount or rubber grease to the sealing surfaces of the seals and refit in caps.
refit the caps to the reserviors with the breather passage pointing as close to the back of the bike (it will never be exact).
the easiest way to do this is to point the breather passage to the rear, turn anticlockwise until the cap drops down then tighten

any further problems after this should be directed to your dealer
