• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Leader Motorcycle iPHONE 6S Plus Phone Mount

I just finished installing a Leader Motorcycle horizontal phone cradle mount to securely hold my iPhone 6S+ on my 2015 RT-S. I really like the strong secure strait forward design and the sharp looking high quality components. It's so well built that it'll probably last longer than I'll be able to ride a CanAm Spyder! Now I can keep track of my travel route on the Garmin GPS, which is mounted on top of the dash, and play music and see important incoming calls or messages on my iPhone with much greater convenience. And, I can use my iPhone as a backup GPS!

So, if your looking for a great product to hold your phone securely to your CanAm or motorcycle, checkout Leader Motorcycle products. Tim & Tracey Kelly are down to earth folks who run a small family business, who's sole purpose is to provide super quality highly useful products for everyone who likes to feel the wind in their face. I can't say enough good things about them. We'll be doing business with them for the forseable future...and then some!

Nice looking mount, is it powered? How about a link where it can be purchased. Thanks

I'm the first one to use this new mount, so you would have to call them. I went with the long bar length. It's not even listed on their website. Here's a link to the actual phone mount, but the mounting bracket on the handle bars will be different. The new mount goes into the two upper bolts, not the lower like it shows on their website:

You can run power to the phone by cutting a hole in the right support in my picture. I'm going to be doing that this weekend if things go as planned. My neighbor is a machinist, and has everything needed in his basement, so he's going to be hopefully cut an oblong hole so I can plug in the power cord.

I ended up installing a sub power supply on top my right speaker mount, with a switch mounted under the dash so I can turn off the power if it rains. The last one I had on my 2012 that was mounted under the dash shorted out when I got in a real bad rain storm.

Newly Designed Spyder Mounts ARE Shipping!

Hey folks, just an update to let you know that the mount shown by Mick & Marion in this thread (and many other styles of mounts for phone, GPS, even camera & drink holders) are live, can be purchased, and are shipping as of Friday: https://www.leadermotorcycle.com/collections/spyder-mounts! (We do still have a few of the "original" style mounting brackets which are now marked down/on sale) Thanks Mick & Marion, I'm so glad you like it! ~ Tracey

You should really mill the slot for power like he did. Any Android or iPhone running music and GPS on a bike pretty much require a power connection as they eat the battery fast. I'd also consider milling a headphone jack hole too.
