Laser Alignment Party, Remington VA, 4 Jan '14

We did 6 alignments yesterday at David R Buckwalter shop and I got two hugs and 4 happy handshakes. The last group of 4 left at 7 pm and it was 13 degrees out. These VA folks are hardcore riders. Got about 14 more coming in today :doorag:

Man, there was pizza? Nobody told me there was going to be pizza! I left way too soon...

(Actually, I left just in time, I got at least to the highway before darkness which made me feel safer... thanks again to everyone for bumping me ahead in line, really appreciated it!)

From the looks of those pics it doesn't look like anyone heeded my advice/suggestion to bring knee pads for "the guys" performing the work. <smiles>

I had Lamont do his laser alignment on my RTL during the MOGANG fall ride and what a difference it made. I had bad front wheels wobbling and handlebars shaking at 41 miles an hour. I usually had to slow down to 39 or speed to 43 to make it stop. It was getting so bad I was getting ready to take my bike in and get it checked out. Now after the laser alignment it is nice and smooth, no wobbling and no vibrations. That alone makes me a happy camper. <br />

The best benefit is the way it glides down the freeway. I got almost 17,000 miles on the bike with no uneven front tire wear and it never pulled right or left down the highway but I always had to fight the curves. This has always been a big problem. Now after the alignment going around the curves I can push effortlessly with my thumbs. No more fighting the curves. I drove non stop from Branson to St Louis with two tanks of gas. Once I made it to St Louis my neck and shoulders were not hurting since I did not have to fight the curves. <br />

For me, the smooth handling was felt immediately just backing out of the garage. Turning in reverse was so smooth and easy. Previously, it felt like I had to struggle to turn the handlebars in reverse. While driving, I could take my left hand off the handlebars, and it was effortless to steer with only my right hand (don't try this at home kids). I no longer have that push/pull feeling/struggle.

I cannot recommend getting a laser alignment enough. Us Girls on Spyders are so happy for you all setting this up for us today.

I noticed in the turns it seems to just glide through them smoothly and no play at all in the steering wheel while driving. It's like you turn your steering wheel and it goes in that direction effortlessly.
