There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Laser alignment in Wisconsin

Hello

I read all the good things about getting laser alignment done but see nothing mentioned as to anyone doing this service in Wisconsin. Any ideas or information for this Northeastern Wisconsin enthusiast.

We are considering coming to Wisconsin in conjunction with an event at Rob's Performance in Johnson Creek on August 22 - 24th. That is the Milwaukee area so I don't know if that would work for you or not. We are still determining if there is enough interest to merit the trip. We do have family in the area so I really want to get up there to visit.

laser alignment

I just talked to the guys at Ecklunds in Appleton they say they are doing the laser alignments now if that helps, they also have a shop in Oshkosh to.

Currently there are no Outlaw/ROLO laser alignment dealers in Wisconsin (http://www.spydercomfort.com/dealers.htm). There is a difference in how the laser alignments are done. The Outlaw system is precision machined to fit in the hub which gives a more accurate alignment point than sticking a laser to the rotor.

I will be traveling through your area on the way to Door county around mid-July.

Id love to get to spyderfest but unfortunately my work schedule doesn't allow for that. I'm planning on going next year.

Am i wrong in assuming that i want to make all my suspension mods before getting this done. Im getting a bajaron sway bar which is in the mail as i write and plan on switching shocks as soon as i can afford the elka's i want hopeful this summer. Does it make sense to wait or is alignment separate from suspension components.

thanks

The swaybar isn't an issue. While the alignment just deals with the tie rods, I would wait until after the shocks, if it was me.

We saw at least two Spyders come in with the Elkas not set up properly during Destination Spyder. In one case they were at different heights which was obviously affecting the ride.

Another issue to consider. The Outlaw alignment system aligns the front wheels to the rear. If you have the rear wheel off for any reason, unless you get it back exactly like it came off, your alignment will be slightly off.

GrayGhost has brought up a lot of excellent points. Many dealers use a laser that they slap on the brake rotor but it is not the patented Rolo/Outlaw system.
