• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

?? Laser alignment=Code-Limp Mode ??

Does the :spyder2: throw a code (can possibly go into LIMP MODE) after laser alignment requiring recoding with BUDS??

They rest it after.

If you mean reset :roflblack:.... It depends who did it.

If they hooked up to BUDS they should have reset it.

If not, you will need to take it to a dealer for reset. (DPS reset I believe?)

Im looking at having mine done very soon, but have no BUDS so will have to have a dealer reset most likely.

If yours was way off it would need to be reset, if not far off (don't know the limit), it will be okay til next service.

If you threw a code though it would need to be reset at a dealer....perhaps you can disconnect the battery for 10 minutes or so to clear the codes, but if bad it may just throw the code again.

it is really better to have someone that has buds do it, they have to look at the centering before they adjust it and then reset it to zero after they make the adjustments. No buds?? only part of the job is done.

and i believe that if the bike is far off and they adjust with no buds, it can go in to limp mode

The steering sensors should be reset after any alignment or replacement of suspension components. Whetehr or not they would be off far enough to cause limp mode would depend on the original alingnment and sensor settings. Some do, some don't. Most common place to see a limp mode due to sensor settings is in a long sweeper or when fighting a side wind.

Depends..!

as Scotty said you should have it reset. Not all doing the laser alignment have a buds system. Some may have the non oem version but regardless of how much it is off you should have it checked and reset. This may cause the limp mode generated from the dps. You need to find the code to be sure...
