• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Any ideas for a rack mount? Some forum member made a fairly large luggage rack for my late YZF600R. Anyone make a large rack for us?

:gaah:...I come from the land of FRUGAL :roflblack::roflblack::roflblack:...lose the Bungee and swap it for a 10 ft nylon Rachet strap, :2excited: :yes::yes:, Mikeguyver

Ha. The bungee is just for the mock up. I had to hold my breath taking that picture, if I breathed too hard it would of flopped.

I can't tell if you have it or not, but if not, start with the brp rear sport rack. From there it would be easy enough to add some aluminum plate to the top cover plate for that bag.
You could even make the aluminum plate removable so it would be seamless when running without the bag...

Depends..!

what kind of weight are we talking about..?? The factory rack will give you a few inches and you could mount onto that an extension. If you need to support it better than half way...run rods from rear foot pegs/heel guards up to a longer extension off the rack. This would have to be a custom built job. If itgets to heavy your looking at a trailer..:roflblack: Thats one big bag..!!

Change the position

Why don't you position the bag across the seat ? it looks about the same width as the front of your spyder. Then use a ratchet strap from side to side to secure it.

Just an idea.

It's a hockey bag - actually a goalie bag, so yes, they are the largest bags made by man (very useful when you wait extended periods of time to do laundry day). It won't be as heavy as it looks, it's filled with padding, not bricks. The bag is empty in the pic, I just finished building a 1/2" PVC pipe frame for it.

I thought about "starting" with the BRP Sport Rack, just wanted to make sure it was the right step, since it's $434!!

I tried a mock-up with the bag horizontal too. It is still less wide than the front track. I didn't like the "look" as much, thought maybe it would block my rear vision more, and I was afraid of too much air resistance. I also have to mount the stick, which is even longer, and the stick fits better with the bag lengthwise.

I really want to get this to work solidly without a trailer so I can spend even more time with my Spyder going to my games! Also, it goes with the Canadian spirit of the Spyder!
