• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Large Brake Pedal

Does anyone make a large brake (extended) pedal for an RT? The small pedal on the right side could use some help. I have seen them for the RS and RS-S but not the RT. Am I looking in the wrong place? Thanks.. Art

yes "they" do . I have one on my 2011 RT but I can not find the receipt with the name of the company that makes them. :banghead: But it seems that I heard about the brake pedal from Bob D maybe he will see this and remember who they are. Which would be good because the rubber part on mine fell off some place and I need another rubber pad. When and if you get one glue that pad.

What the heck do you all do with your feet, or what kind of footwear do you wear that you need a monster peddle like that?....haha.

Well; If you've been a Type I Diabetic for 49 years already... and can no longer feel where your feet are ; it helps to have a larger landing zone for them!

and if you miss that little pedal one time too many .................. you will wish you had the larger one.

Don't ask me how i know this.

I don't know guys....been riding since I was a little tike and have never once thought a larger brake peddle was needed or even desirable.
Personally it seems like it would get in the way more.....but maybe that is more of a peg vs. board thing.
But if it works for you.....cool!

Haha...well, I've got some size 12's on the end of these stumps, so if I was talking about large feet I'd have to talking about myself.
Maybe we could work on a 2x6 peddle board mod for you old timers?!?

Hey, watch it! It hasn't anything to do with age.....or shoe size. :D I am a geezer and wear size 12, but I prefer a small pedal, like you. Iwill admit, however, that the tiny stub on my BMW R1100RT has tested me. I have missed it a few times and have considered an extension. I think it is more a matter of the way your foot points and how much flexibility there is in your knees. The size of your legs probably enters into it, too...my bird legs don't push my feet away from the pedals in the least. Whether it is anatomy or personal preference, it matters not. The aftermarket usually steps up to the plate to give owners choices the OEM designs may not.
