I'm camping at the McMillian Farm. Be arriving on Wednesday staying thru Sunday mornning.
Will have Stumpy with me so he can finally meet Teddy. Don't want to leave Stumpy that long at home.

We are staying at the KOA at Newport in our Motorhome.It is 20 miles from Lamonsters.We are coming from Michigan with trailer and RT.We will arrive the 5th staying until the 9th.

Couldn't get away from work on Wednesday. KentuckyGuy and I, and of course our better half's will be there Thursday. Staying
at the Jamison also. Just wondering, any ideal how far it's from Lamont's to Tail of the Dragon? Always wanted to do that ride.

Not that far, about 100 miles or so.... but, I sure would'nt do that ride on a weekend at this time of yr as the dragon is clogged with every imaginable fast mover looking to prove their weekend racing skills! I was in Tellico Plains yesterday am and saw a group of 20+ sports cars all heading up the Cherohala on the way to the Dragon! Lamont can tell you there are a bunch of better rides in the area that the crazies haven't heard of yet.

That's probably good advise. I'm looking forward to riding in the area with the group of SpyderLovers. So we'll go and tag along. But, someday I want to do tail of the dragon so I can say been there done that.

Where Staying

I guess I am the real loner here. I am staying at the Super-8 in Bulls Gap, TN.
It's about 10mi to Lamonster's.
