• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Lamont: Get Well My Friend

He’s home, with nurse Joan providing first class, attentive care with his antibiotics etc, and still waiting for the call that they have a new liver for him, Ron.

So this would be transplant #2? I hope it comes thru soon and that it goes well. God Bless Lamont.

Yes, #2. I found this on the web.

Up to 9 out of 100 patients who have a liver transplant may require a second transplant (known as a re-transplant). This is often a result of disease recurrence, complications resulting from the first transplant or chronic deteriorating liver function. Chronic rejection happens in 2 in 100 patients.

Yes, unfortunately, Lamont’s first new liver ended up having bile duct issues which, to quote Lamont, “were slowly killing him”. That’s how he ended up in hospital recently with a very, very serious infection. He is now at the top of the list for a second liver. I hope Lamont and Joan don’t mind me posting this on here, but there are a serious number of worried folk on the site who would like to know the current situation and this is probably the best way to communicate it. ;)

This is his latest post. Like Peteoz said he is still waiting. I'm not sure if a link gets you there on FaceBook. If it doesn't get you there, this is what he posted "Not Today Satan Not Today."

I can only imagine what Lamont must be feeling. When my two daughters went under the knife at the same time in January 2016, one gave part of her liver and the other received it during a live liver donor transplant. The one who received has had her ups and downs over the years. Stay strong Lamont; saying prayers for you. God Bless.

So, Lamont is now off the intravenous antibiotics (which Joan administers every 6 hours, an hour a time), and on to oral antibiotics... but there is always a downside. The fact that his infection is now under control means that he has been moved from the top of the liver transplant wait list to further down the queue. Aaaaarrrrrrggggghhhhhh. Fingers crossed a match comes up quickly... he has been through enough. 👍

Could someone please update in English rather than FB. Because of serious hacking that included some financial issues I have deleted FB. Thanks in advance and hope he is doing well.
