Purchased a new Hindle exhaust last week and promptly snapped the collar bolt trying to fix a leak. BRP folks said tighten the collar to specs then move it 180 degrees and tighten again to specs and that should take care of any leaks. I kept tightening the collar because the BRP method didn't do a thing. Had to buy a new collar ($42). Then I had the good sense to look at Lamont's post on cutting slots in the end Hindle pipe to assist the collar in properly seating. Wala....did the slot thing and no leaks. Wish I would have had the good sense to check that out before I had to spend $42 bucks on a new collar.
Still using premium in the tank and it's running like it used to before the update. Surging, hesitation is gone. Carlo says I shouldn't have to burn premium, but I haven't developed the courage yet to put regular back in the tank.
In any event, Lamont I'm not sure where some of us folks that are a bit lame when it comes to mechanical things would be without your contributions. I can't make the Spyder in the Smokies thing, but how can we get you down here to Texas?
Thanks for all you do.
