Lamont BBQ 2013.

None of these posts give me a clue as to what event we are talking about. I don't know if it is the owners event or Lamont's BBQ. Help Please.

This is Lamont's BBQ on the Saturday. The owner event is Thursday and Friday, seems like most will be staying in Maggie valley through Saturday and riding up to the BBQ Saturday morning.

Camping for the BBQ

OK, We've decided to camp at Baileyton RV Park. http://www.baileytonrvpark.com/index.html. It's just off of I-81 Exit 36. I've booked a plce to park the toyhauler We will be driving up first thing Saturday morning from Maggie Valley.

It looks to be about 20 mile ride on the Spyder to Lamonte's place.

We were going to stay at Banks Farms Campground which is pretty close to Lamonte's, but they indicated they sometimes had trouble with larger rigs. The toyhauler is new and I'm not going to risk it, so we opted for Baileyton.

What's the MO for this Event?

Being I didn't go last year, and the year before I didn't even know what a Spyder was I have no idea what the modus operandi is for the BBQ.

Do we bring something?

Is there a cost or donation?

Any special "rules of engagement" I should know?

Will Bob Denmen be wearing a Star Fleet uniform?

Sounds like a great idea. I will be staying at the Travelowes motel. This is my first Spyder event and I can't wait to meet some of the characters that post on this web site!! I know it is going to be a blast!:yes:

Is there a cost or donation? No cost, but donation bucket will be available. Last year donations covered the cost so Lamont didn't have any out of pocket expense.

Any special "rules of engagement" I should know? Don't park such that you block the driveway. Basically no rules...just be yourself, don't drool on the Spyders, and have fun.
