There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Lamonster RTW Project- Elka Stage 5 front shocks!

Got my first ride with the new stage 5 shocks today and I didn't even get out of my driveway before I knew these things were great. I've tried all the Elka's now and these by far out handle them all. I made some slow speed adjustments to them and took about a 100 mile ride and the more I pushed the RT the better it liked it. I have yet to have either my RS or RT handle like this before. Not only does it take the corners better, the ride is even smoother. I can't say I really ever felt a bump in the road and when I realized that I started to watch the cars ahead of me just to make sure there were bumps in the road.

Whatever they changed in the valving works not to mention they look great and are easyer to install than the old style. If you're on the fence on these let me give you a shove off, these things are great.:firstplace:

Lamont? Just out of curiosity and recognizing that the rider weight, size, riding style come into play, just what settings do you have on your elka's??

Chris

Lamont, I have the 2011 RT-S and after setting the shocks to 4 and adjusting my air pressures to suit my solo riding, it seems to be very good. Did you put the new Elkas on a 2010, 2011 or 2012? I am confused on which year your RT is. I am not into mods just for looks, (BR1 is beautiful like he is) but would mod for better handling. My engine performance is just fine...no need for more. Thanks.

:spyder2:

If they work as good as they look I'm gonna have to jump off the fence!!
But I have to ask the big "Q" HOW MUCH $$$$ ??????:pray:

Last year at Spyderfest there was a discount and Len and his amazing crew got them installed by appointment as long as stocks lasted.

Any chance that will happen again? And what about an Elka swap? Perhaps a way to swap back my units from last year for these new babies this year? Save the trouble of eBay and the ensuing hassle and Elka could recondition them and sell them back to people who want their first taste of these great shocks.

Check out website, they are a sponsor on home page of SL. Front shocks $1795.00 and rear shock $1295.00.

The Stage 5 shocks for the ATV and the Spyder are not entirely the same.

The Stage 5 front Spyder shocks are $1595. The rear stage 5 will be in the works if we see that there is enough demand, and it would retail for $1295.

Elka also has a less expensive rear shock that is fairly new. The price is considerably less. Just got mine and it looks like a piece of art, not installed yet. John, help me with the details. :)

The new rear shock ( Stage 1+) for the rear is probably the best bet in terms of replacing the stock rear. Its not too expensive ( $549) and will be a big improvement over stock in terms of dampening the big bumps and hits. Your passengers will certainly appreciate it.;)

I replaced my 2010 factory shock with this model. My old shock was shot and the air bag was taking a beating. After Cowtown installed the rear +1 Elka my wife was VERY impressed with the new ride. If that isn't a testimonial, then nothing is.

The front shocks made a much bigger handling impression on me, but for the 2010 RT with a bad factory shock,,, the installation of the rear Elka, was more noticeable from a passenger comfort perspective.

Two thumbs up!!!
