There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Even on my imac 24" it fills the whole screen; on my 17" screen I have to scroll.
In the above thread, I don't believe the picture caused it.
Its Doc's picture that causes it on that one. I my 17" i have to scroll my 26" i don't.

It could be some setting for your monitor (like the check resolution suggestion) or something in the preferences of your browser. On a PC with Internet Explorer that I sometimes use to access these forums, any post that has a large picture in it will force me to sidescroll to read it. At home on my 20 inch iMac, I never have to sidescroll for these forums. I think I had some setting adjusted in Safari to automatically reduce large pictures. Can't remember for sure.
