Lamonster Garage Rear Wheel Removal -RS

Lamont, This video couldn't have come at a better time for me.
I am going to replace my original tire with 13,000 miles, and a nail that I picked up last week.:gaah: I also will replace my bearings at the same time. Thanks for posting.

Thanks Lamont !!! This video for sure will help me. My Spyder has got 10,000 miles on her, and when winter comes I will be attempting this.
Yes, I spun my wheel a few times !!! But in my defense, I didn't mean it. :roflblack::roflblack:

Keep up the good work with your video's. One question......How do you get the bearings out ????

I'm going to do another video on replacing the bearings but you just knock them out from the backside.

Thanks Lamont. Will there be a single place where these videos will all be gathered together for quick subject matter searches?

Thanks Lemont, This will help alot I'm getting ready to replace rear tire on the RT 12,000 miles I was wondering what I would be getting into This is very helpful espacially on keeping your belt tension I was wondering how I could do that.:2thumbs:

Lamont et al

When pulling rear wheel bearings, what do/did you use to remove the "wheel bearing nut"? I see there is a specific BRP tool, just wondering what's being used and would still be able to torque to 15 ft lbs.

Just put yet another rear tire on tonight using this method and again it was a real time saver. I even mounted the tire to the rim myself this time.

Only thing I always seem to have to think about is whether you push the tire IN while tightening the axle or if you pull the tire OUT. I pushed in. Brain is trashed tonight so I hope that was right. Lol

What I do is let the jack down and that will tension the belt then I tighten the axle nut.

Thought about doing my own tires but our little shop in town does it for 5 bucks so why bother. :2thumbs:

question?

Question? I’m planning on replacing my back tire and was wondering if it’s necessary to remove the sprocket, rotor, and hub from the rim to replace the tire. Or I only need to do that if I’m going to replace the bearings?
