• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Lamonster "catch can" revisited . . . . .

hi planning to fit mine shortly see yours vents to atmosphere , any issues doing this ?? how did you seal air box??

cheers deon

Though Lamont's 'Catch-Can' works well, it is more complicated and expensive than necessary to get the job done. I also requires maintenance.

Early on Lamont and I (and others) did a fair amount of experimentation in this area. A lot of different ideas and designed cropped up. Most of them worked. Some better than others.

If you check out this link (below) it depicts what I think is the best way to go. Simple, inexpensive and virtually maintenance free. Parts are readily available. I can send you a chunk of open cell foam if needed. I also like the fact that it returns the oil to the crank case instead of collecting it in a can to be drained away.

If you do a true catch can as in Lamont's example. You will need to put some kind of filtration (air filter) where it vents to the atmosphere to prevent contaminants entering the system.
