There will be a ton of us going from Gatlinburg. You won't have any trouble finding someone to ride with. As I recall, it's about 50 or so miles. welcome

This is not a part of the SITS event, it is just done in conjunction with it. Lamont puts it on, with the help of some great friends and family, just for the SpyderLovers group. It is a very special thing, and he is a very special guy!

This is not part of Spyders in the Smokies but it is in my backyard and a lot of members here will be going to that event. Marc at SpyderTalk left Thursday afternoon open so folks could attend the BBQ at my place. This has turned into a bigger event than I had ever thought it would but it's all good, love to have you here. Here's a post I made awhile back about getting here.

I was asked how far Deals Gap is from my place. According to Google it's about 120 miles (2.5 hours) if you go back to I-40 and hit the highway.

If you go this way it's about 140 miles (3.5 hours) but a really nice ride.

From the Red Roof Inn in Gatlinburg it's about 55 miles (1.5 hours) to my place. This gives you some idea how to plan your rides and how long it will take to get back to Gatlinburg if that's where you are staying.

If you do the ride they have planned to Deals Gap it ends up at Alcoa Good Times for lunch and it's about 75 miles to my place (1.5 hours) from there.

Count me in as one and a lg Shirt please. Is there some camping in the area?? I will be campin it. I've not been to your bbq before so not sure if I should bring extra money for eats. Funny you should mention that. Lately the UPS driver has been able to find my house. Must be the new guy. I figure Lamont hasn't had the chance to get him straightened out yet! :gaah:

And he actually ordered his own rear tire this time so I'm safe....well, he does have 2 Spyders and he only ordered 1 tire. Hhmmmmm...
