• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Lame USPS - sending my items on a nice long road trip!

Ya logistics that are not logical. Something else to ponder (cautiously): How much would a stamp cost? If not for all the pre paid junk mail & circulars.

My latest USPS debacle. I ordered some frame guards for my Husqvarna 401 last week from a company in PA. After two days of "processing", they mailed them out via 3 day USPS priority mail. They went from Waynesburg, PA > Warrendale, PA > Charlotte, NC > Gastonia, NC > Olathe, KS. They have been in Kansas since Monday. Being cold/snowy in WI and I don't really need them yet, and I know it's the busiest shipping time of the year, but the routing is CRAZY!!

Somewhere in Egypt there is legendary city where all the lost packages are shipped to. I will not name the city, but I know it is there, because the lost luggage the airlines are responsible for also go there. Once it goes to that place, none of the packages, suitcases, or letters are ever seen again.
Yes, and I know the name of that place. Packages and other items have been delivered there for years, never to be seen again. I know of a few folks, politicians particularly, and a couple of problematic spiders I'd like to see sent to Egypt. LOL

Well my latest experience with the 'USPS' was just last week. They left my package two houses South of me (the neighbors called me last night) I called the USPS customer service and they were to look into this matter.

Still waiting for my package.
I guess it will be delivered in January. Sooooooo sorry was the wrong answer.

Well yesterday's mail was dropped in a puddle of water next to my mail box. The high winds was the cause.

Still waiting for my mail to dry.
Lucky it was my utility bills. Life and Times as a retired man.

I am not even sure where my mail is. Went down there and looked in the mailbox yesterday. It was full of mail, but the mail in it was addressed to the guy who lives about a half mile on down the road from me. They must have mistaken my name, which is twice as long and painted on the side of the mailbox in 2 inch high letters, for his name, which begins with a different letter of the alphabet and is exactly half as long as my name. I guess they could look alike when one was printed on the front of letters and the other one was painted on the side of the mailbox. Happens all the time. I just put the flag back up and leave it in there. In a couple more days they will find my mail in the mailbox of somebody down the road in the other direction and move it to mine. It is really sad that the USPS doesn't provide their employees with decent insurance so that the poor mail carriers can go get their eyes checked and get a new pair of glasses.

USPS has a service called Informed Delivery. It is free. You will get an email each day with pictures of mail and tracing numbers of packages that are scheduled to be delivered.

Thanks for the USPS delivery notification service. I may try it. I do already get an email notification that the packages are delivered. The problem is they are not always delivered to me. They leave my packages on some of the other people on a different roads porch. Those people usually put it in my package locker, but they are not always home to see the packages they don't expect. I have the same four digit 911 number as a woman that lives on a paved highway about 7 or 8 miles away. Same 911 number, but different name and different road. The shippers deliver her cookie cutters and cat food to me, and they deliver my welding rods and bolts to her. We used to try to straighten it out, but taking the package that belongs to her over there 3 or 4 times a week gets old, and that is not my job. She said the same thing, so now we just put them back in the package locker and notify the shipper. Sometimes the shipper picks them up and delivers them to the right place, and sometimes they don't. If the package does not get to her by the specified time the shipper has to pay for it and she gets a refund. A refund is not much good when I am waiting on parts to repair something. I have to order it all over again. A notification about the mail for someone else would not help because it was not supposed to be put in my mailbox to begin with. The only thing I can do is put it back in the box and put the flag up.
