• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

LA Monster a Class Act

Recently I had the honor of speaking to LA Monster personally about the LA Corbin Seat modification:bowdown: . I bought the seat from another class act named Joe aka Xpeschon :doorag:. I reached out to LA through Facebook and left him a text message.
This class act of a man responded back to me by giving ME :2excited: his personal cell phone number .
I called him and we chatted about the seat modification. He gave me some real good pointers and great advice.
What a class act!! I want to say a big THANKS LA. You DA MAN!!!

Teddy & I couldn't agree more* Share our funny story about a Great Man

1st time I ever talked to him was when I was at the DMV after just purchasing our very 1st 2010 RT-S back in May of that year. I had never ridden a motorcycle before in my life, and had no clue what a 'SwingArm' was, but that's where the manual said the VIN was, but I had no clue and the Inspector (70yo lady) at the DMV didn't even know what to classify it as, less alone to tell me where the SwingArm was. She just stated, "if you can't show me the VIN on the machine, then we can't inspect it and you can't register it":gaah:

I was at a loss and didn't know what to do. I pulled up SpyderLovers on my smartphone and found his cell number listed and took a chance and called, thinking I'd have to leave a message, but nope, the man answered a call from a total stranger:clap:

I can only imagine what musta been going thru his head, as I rambled on about having no clue where to look to find the 'SwingArm':dontknow::roflblack::roflblack: but he calmly told me to stand next to the Spyder like I was going to mount it, but instead, neal down next to it and look under where the bottom panel is and the big metal piece running back to the rear wheel, that's called the 'SwingArm' and the VIN is right there:thumbup: What a way to start:roflblack: Thank You Lamont, you are truly a Class Act :2thumbs:

I've been a member of a few boards he runs, which is way I registered on this one when I was looking at a Spyder.

He clearly loves this stuff and lives it everyday. Met him for the first time at Magog, true gentleman.

I"d like to chime in on the quality and ease of installation of his footrests. I paid via Paypal and they were at my door in about 3 days. Anyone can install them. The only thing I did that wasn't mentioned in the instructions, and may not actually be needed, is I cut a slot out of the inside of the air wings to make them fit up tighter against the footrest bar. The cut out does not show from the outside as the airwings are double sided. I've since ordered a second set and installed them for a friend. Takes about an hour. Now i can lean back on the Utopia, feet propped out, set cruise and enjoy the ride. If you live in my area, can't turn a wrench, get a set and come on over and I'll walk you thru it with my tools.
