• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

My wife and I are in the LA area for the next 14 weeks , know any good rides besides Angles Crest and Mulholland Hwy. We have most weekends free but I work during the week .

Santiago Canyon road which starts in Orange Ca and goes in the base of the Saddle Back mountains is always a nice ride for us OC locals.
You can also visit the famous Cook's Corner biker handout.

It's a little bit of a ride from LA but here is some info

Also, if you want twisties, check out highway 18 up through Lake Arrowhead and Big Bear mountain.

Just some ideas. Let me know if you want more.

Thanks Finless , we rode up to Big Bear Lake last weekend as my cousin has a cabin up there and my wife had not been up since the early 70's . Ill most certainly check out the other rides.

OK well another suggestion is to take the 5 freeway down to Capistrano and do Ortega Highway and drop into lake Elsinore. It's got some decent twisties and is a fun ride. There is a little restaurant right at the drop down road into Elsinore that is a good stop for lunch with a fantastic view!.

Take highway 1 north as far as you like. It is a wonderful ride the whole way. In th LA city it is known as Pacific Coast Highway.

Usually pick up PCH around Oceanside and ryde down. Do the back hills before the heat then ryde the coast when it's hot...

Neptunes

Stop by Neptunes for some biker seafood. Great stop and you will get to look over lots and lots of other bikes.

In northern Malibu take route 23. Also look up the Rock Store on Mulholland Hwy. Big biker stop. Jay Leno is there often.
