• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Due to unforseen events, Teddy & I just may be able to make an appearance

Don't want to get our hopes up, but Teddy & I had to cancel our NY SpyderQuest Trip this year :( & depending on just how well my buddy is doing with his recovery, Teddy & I just may be able to attend the Kuttawa/Lake Barkley Weekend get-together :yes::clap:

Just won't really know til the time gets closer & it all really depends on my buddies recovery/therapy, but if he's doing well, I can't forsee any other reason why we shouldn't be able to attend :2thumbs: .............................. :pray::pray:

Since this is kind of last minute, is their anyone wanting to split/share hotel room

:bowdown::yes:This has been taken care of and Teddy & I will be staying at the Buzzard Rock Resortwith our gracious hosts Kathy & Lenny from Indiana:yes::bowdown:

As most of you know, Teddy & I had to deal with a family emergency here at home & we missed the NewYork SpyderQuest Event :( but now that our buddy seems to be doing better, we should be able to sneak away for the weekend festivities for this Group Meet n Greet n Ryde :clap:

Curious if anyone might have a double room that only needs a single and wouldn't mind sharing it with myself and of course ...... :doorag: Teddy :ohyea: and even tho he's well groomed & his coat is trimmed rather short, it probably wouldn't be a good idea if the person was allergic to dogs :rolleyes: just to be on the safe side, ya know ;) and we can probably provide Jeff as a reference as for being roomies, I think we're pretty good. Tho you also shouldn't be adverse to waking up with Teddy snuggling next to you:rolleyes: cause its happened before, right Jeff?:roflblack:

We'll gladly split the cost of the room, if anyone is interested :p Seeing as its getting down in the 40s overnight, I'm thinking it best that we don't do the camping thing, since I haven't let Teddy's coat grow out yet for the colder weather thats fast approaching :(

In case your new to the forum or don't know who we are, I'm Dave, a 42yo white male, don't smoke & rarely drink & Teddy is a 11.4 pound Pomeranian whos been certified (& has tags) as an Emotional Support & Therapy Dog & we usually visit Senior Homes and cause all kinds of fights with the residents who just can't seem to get enough of "The Tedster" :ohyea: AKA: The Boss :doorag: He's pretty well mannered & behaved & isn't a biter nor a barker, tho when it comes to food:bbq: if you sit it down, he considers it his .... no matter what it is ... :roflblack::roflblack:

Julie and I are packed, cat sitter is lined up, bike filled with gas, half pack of cigarettes, and we are on a mission to Kuttawa.

Hmm, guess we still gots to wait a few more days. :(

Also - for anyone still looking for a hotel room - The Days Inn only had 2 rooms left yesterday (both were smoking rooms), and the Relax Inn only had a few smoking rooms left. Buzzard Rock has units left. Sounds like the Spyders are taking over the town!

I am really looking forward to the trip, even tho a short one for us. It is only about three hours even when we take the slow scenic route. Can't wait to see everyone! I don't think I have been so amped up about a ride since my very first Spyderfest! :thumbup:
 
Been running around all day getting everything finalized.. I think I have everything done.. Just in case I havent mentioned it.. We will be going to Kuttawa Harbor Sat night for a live band, food an drinks an of course all the give away.. Hope everyone has safe travels an see you at 6:30 Friday night at the Oasis..

P.S. I have one of the large rooms reserved at Oasis so make sure that you tell them your with the Spyder group...
