• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Kurykyn Grips: Glue or use set screws?

After going through the instructions of my new Kurykyn ISO grips, I noticed that with a layer of electrical tape the Clutch grip is very secure and I may possibly skip the "Death Glue" and drill a small hole and tap a 3mm or 4mm hex screw. This woul dallow me to change the grips down the road if I so choose.

I have plenty of hex screws from R/C Heli's.

Anyone care to give _polite_ opionions (pro's & cons)?

Does this mean you got your spyder back from the Helibar people? If so, how long till we get word on what they are doing for the Spyder?

Yes I have my SPYDR (my actual lic. plate!) back. I missed her so much! I was getting withdrawals. I'm under a NDA, but all I can say is watch for the news here.

BTW, I installed my Kury ISO grips. On the clutch side, I used two layers of electrical tape and drilled a small 1/16" hole about 1" in from the end of the Kury grip on the flat metal. and then I drilled a small 1/8" hole in the bar to accept a zinc screw and used a long needle nose pliers to hold a nylon lock nut inside. The screw simple keeps the grip from swisting. The Tape provised the friction. I can allways change it if needed now.

The right side throttle; I did use a small amount of the death grip glue on the throttle sleeve. The end to end ridges on the sleeve line up with the top and bottom half of the ISO grip rubber insides.

It's not 7/8" nor it's 1". It is an odd ball sizes. I got my grips from Xoprodox.com they know what you need check them out. They made a sleeve to fit this wierd size. www.xoprodox.com does have nice selection.

Order the Kury Universal ISO grips for 7/8" bars.

What everyone seems to omit is this: In that set is one clutch grip that is 7/8" (but needs some tape to soak up some space) and one throttle grip that is 1".

What I did was put two layers of electrical tape on the clutch side and drilled a small hole about 1" in on the clutch side and a small hole to match on the bar. The 4-40 screw and nylon nut keep the grip from moving.

I used a very small amount of death grup glue on the throttle side.
