• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Just thought I would post some pictures of my, just installed, Kuryakyn Iso grips that I received from the powder coater in black. Unlike Lamonster I ground on the grip itself rather than on the thumb shifter then sent the grips to the powder coater and had them done in gloss black, didn't want the chrome that I ground off to rust.

Looks great

Thanks Lamont coming from you that means an awful lot, Just tried to improve just a little on your original post on this install, was afraid to grind on the Spyder shifter fearing that at some point I might have weakened it to where it might break.:dontknow:

Just out of curiosity...and excuse me if this sounds dumb, but I'm the worst mechanic in the world...can you put on ISO grips (which I had on my V Star 1300T before I bought the Spyder) without losing the hand warmers?

Yes you can use the iso grips without loosing the heated grips, my heated grips work just fine through these grips:2thumbs:

You can fit ISO grips but you have to get the ones for a Goldwing that fit over the stock grips to retain the heat.

Cannot remeber the part number but a search here will find. I think there is a fitting guide in the DIY section
