• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Kuryakyn grips for spyder rt ltd

Has anyone had any experience replacing the standard grips on the spyder rt ltd with Kuryakyn ISO grips?

Assuming the LTD has heated grips, you'll not want to replace them, but adapt the Kury ISO grips that are intended to fit over the Honda Goldwing heated grips. They are a clamshell style grip that breaks in half and then clamps together over the OEM heated grips. You will need to trim the rubber ridge off the end of the OEM grips to allow the OLD grip to fit. I've done it on my RT as well as many other owners.

I ordered a pair of those and found they were way too long, the ones for the GL1800. Did I get the wrong set???

Thanks for the info! I have a couple other questions. I could not find any part listed with the word "clam". Is this the same as the Kuryakan Universal 7/8 ISO Grips? Also, the part of the oem equipment that needs to be removed, is that the hard plastic at the very end held in place by a screw? or is it the rubber tip of the grip? Thanks again. Sure appreciate the information.

We put them on ours after looking at some posts on here. I have some instructions on the product page and took some fairly good pictures. We really like them on the RT. You will have some modifications to do.

Nope. They are longer than the Spyder grips. There will be a void of about 1" or so at the end. You might be able to find a piece of dowel or plastic tubing or something to fill that void. It's been about three years since I installed mine, so the details are a bit fuzzy...
