Kuryakyn Grand Tour Bag on RT-S

I just thought folks might like to have a look at the Kuryakyn Grand Tour Bag on my Spyder RT-S. I'm using it for the 1024 mile round trip down to Spyders in the Smokies. The September weather down there can go from cold to pretty warm, so I wanted to pack my TourMaster multi-layer jacket, and an extra riding vest; personal electronics, cell, camera, extra gloves, glove liners and extras of whatever I need will also go in.

What's in the rest of the storage? Well, my front trunk will hold my ruck with most of my clothing and my notebook computer. The left rear hard case has my rainsuit, a lighter rain jacket and Spyder cover. The right rear will hold an extra helmet and some additional clothing. The rear top case usually holds tools, a quart of oil, rags, fuses and relays; a first aid kit, a roll of gaffers' tape (if ya don't know what gaffers' tape is, ask) ... an air pump and a bottle of "Slime" (only if I need it -- I don't use the stuff otherwise); also a bottle of water or two for moi. From departure to return, I'll be on the road eight days, so it's nice to be prepared. Of course, the bag pops off while in Gatlinburg for The Dragon and other local trips.

:clap:So on my way down to get new lower helmet cords on Monday I'll stop by Country Choppers and see if they have one. My Cortech bag that I used my Gold Wing will be up for sale as it doesn't work. Maybe I won't have to drag my trailer to SITS.

I tried one on my RT a couple of days ago. You're right it fits perfectly. Had used one on the RS but wasn't sure it would fit the RT. This one had been ordered for a customer so, I'll have to order one for myself. If anyone wants one remember: I give Spyderlovers an additional 5% off.

currently use one on my harley fatboy for the rear of the passenger back rest. works nice will now know it will work double duty on the RT

also got it cheaper finding the tourmaster branded version as its discontinued so you can find much cheaper (like 30 to 40% off the Kuryaken price)

Ah ... there it is.

Yes, I looked at the Fieldsheer. Like a "70's" American Car ... I don't quite get the addition of simulated alligator-skin panels on the top and sides with the fake "exhaust vents." I'm sure it's otherwise still the same bag. The description mentions all the accompanying goodies. It's seventy bucks less ... I just liked the un-cluttered look of the Kuryakyn; plus, Custom Dynamics (from whom I purchased) was great. Good luck on your purchase.

Yes, yes ... that fuel door is sweet, and mitigates having to unload anything sitting on the back seat. I priced everything out that I would want in a Corbin. The dual tour saddle (unheated), trunk rest and the ovalbac backrest. $1,127.00 ... *sigh* ... Next year.

This past weekend, I 'practiced' with the tour bag. Adds a couple of minutes (if that) to each fill up. I can have the bag off in under 30 seconds, and back on and secure in about a minute. I'll fill up before I leave for Tennessee. Three more fill-ups on the way down. Gatlinburg ... bag is off. Then same in reverse.

I'm surprised the '11's didn't take Corbin's lead and design something like this (the fuel door) in.
