• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Kuryakan Grips for 2014 ET-s?

Folks, does anyone know the part for (or if they make) Kuryakan Iso Grips for the 2014 RT-S? I looked on their website for 2014 RT-S and I didn't see anything for the GRIPS themselves. I saw them on a Goldwing and they feel REALLY good in my hand (I like it better than the narrow stock ones).

If you know exactly what to order, please let me know?

Also, will they work to replace the heated grips on the rt-s (not sure how that all works...)

Thanks for the info. I did see that he mentions the heated grip doesn't work as well with these on since they extend past the end of the stock grips.

Not sure I like the idea of hacking off the ends of the stock grips -- something to think about....

Go to LaMonster's website. He's got some instructions for installing the Kuryakyn clamshell grips for Goldwing heated grips. I have them and they are nice, although they do cut down on the amount of heat you feel through the grips.

So here is the deal on how they effect the heated grips.

1) It takes longer for them to heat up but they do get hot enough!

2) When going down the highway over say 50 MPH, because the metal ends are sticking out, the air moving over them does suck the heat out.
What I have done now this last winter (if you call Ca. having a winter), I cut some bicycle inner tube about 2" long and put them over the ends.
This worked! Then I can simply remove the inner tube covers them when I don't need them.
