There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Happy with my Kumho. I have about 4,500 miles and it hardly shows I almost got 11K out of the OE tire. I hope to get more than twice that from the Kumho so my next tire change should be in about 3 years. I will be changing the fronts out this season will probably stay with OE.

I just had one put on the bike, and am running 26.5 psi...

I got 22,000 on my oem kenda and put another one on. But from all the posting of the kuhmo I though there would be more mileage on them. Will watch to see who else chimes in with higher miles...sorry coz ryde with quite a few with this tire but they are all below the mileage they got on the oem. Well except the 14' guys...:thumbup:

That's the most I've ever heard of on a kenda. I'm down into the wear bars on my original rear tire at 16,5 . The Kuhmo should get here today. 88 bucks shipped from discount tire direct. Local shop is putting it on for 68 bucks. Good deal.:thumbup:

From what I have read on this site that seems to be an exceptional mileage on the oem tire. I am looking at a 2012 RT SE5L right now with only 8300 mi on it and the rear tire is into the wear bars. Do you think you are doing something different that others aren't or did this owner not watch his pressures? I would prefer to use an OEM tire and if there is a way to get that kind of mileage from it I want to know what it takes. I agree with you I thought there would have been more who had run the car tires enough to have higher mileage. Very interested in this rear tire mileage thing.
3 kumhos on my 14 rt. 14000 miles on the tires put on when i bought the bike. the miles include a trip to alaska and spyderfest, both from Ga. Very little wear on front and some wear on the rear. I had several tires go bad on long trips on other bikes thus i wanted strong tires on this rt as I did on my last rt. 28 lbs. in all 3. temp readings after warm up were 10 degrees lower than stock tires and temp reading were even across the tires, left, right sides and center. Stiffer side walls also help handling. I also have Ron's sway bar and spring rubbers.

I had PitBull put on a Kuhmo at Spyderfest this year got 8300 out of the original rear tire. We'll see on the Kuhmo.

Hmmmmm......time to look for a new rear tire......OEM is bald at 7100 miles....found that out when we returned from Spyderfest....and wife noticed the center was beyond the safety bars....LOL.....center is way bald...had tread when we started for home...oh well...will get her a new tire......love my Spyder :spyder:!!!

The best I have done with the Kumho is 11K and I am as conservative in my driving as I can be (used on our 1st Spyder 2008 GS SE5 and our 2nd 2010 RT SM5, 100,000 miles combined, probably 95% Interstate miles). I run 26-28 pounds and keep a watch on the tire to be sure the middle is not wearing faster the the edges. How anyone can get over 20K on any rear tire on any Spyder is amazing.

Dave, the Kumho is a car tire with a weight rating three times higher than the KENDA........You can safely run that tire at 20 lbs PSI because the sidewalls are much stiffer.......I am sure you will gain traction at 20 PSI.............Try it ........I have run all my Spyder car tires ( rear ) at that PSI.....Mike :thumbup:

I ran a season with a Kuhmo on my 2013 ST. I got 17,000 kms (7,500 miles) before I could not stand it anymore. It just did not stick to the road good enough for my liking and on wet pavement I felt it was just dangerous. Set the air pressure as low as 22 psi for a while, trying to get more traction, but the handling got sloppy. I have installed a Yokohama S-Drive and it seems to be performing very well. I have not driven it enough to figure out the optimal air pressure yet.

I too have had traction problems with the Kumo but being aware of that I watch my speed on wet roads. My last kumo was about 1/2 worn at 14k when I traded my 2011 in on the 14. My current one has 4K and shows very little wear.
