• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Kudos to Kradellock

(I think I spelled that right).

I've always been nervous leaving my GPS on my bike when I'm not with it, but I'm too lazy to always take it off and stow it. So I bought a Kradellock.

It's a simple device that mounts behind the Garmin mount using the same 4 screwholes as the mount. However .... I lost one of the slotted grommets on the mount and I didn't read the instructions. :opps::banghead: I didn't realize there was a small piece on the mount I needed to remove for my GPS. A couple of emails back and forth to Kradellock (they were very patient and good to work with) and a replacement grommet from Lowe's (thanks jagarh) and the mount is on. It is simple, barely shows, works outstandingly well. Very easy to install if you read the instructions, and the Kradellock folks are outstanding.

Yep...I too would like to see it. And a link to a purchase site if you have it. Thanks

As a vendor Kradellock has thought of absolutely everything IMO, including a small pouch of anti-seize compound for the mounting screws and nuts. They take care of the small details so the big details take care of themselves.

Well .. the instructions didn't tell me I needed to read the instructions...:hun: My tendency it to look at something and assume I automatically know how to install it. This is a VERY easy install, but I missed the part about removing the bottom component for my mount.

As I recall; their online instructions are a lot easier to read, than the ones that they pack with their products.

Here they are....

PICTURES MAN, PICTURES.....
WE NEED PICTURES....
i'm lazy too....

The first picture shows the Kradellock unlocked - it's the shiny black part sandwiched behind the GPS mount. You can see the rotary keyhole and the silver bars underneath the lock.IMG_1964.jpg

Pic 2 shows the unit locked where the locking mechanism is depressed to the top of the GPS mount. When you press the release button on the GPS mount the top of the mount actually rises up a bit. This prevents the top of the mount from being able to rise.

If you look at my reply on the forum on 04-14-2016 you will see pictures of it installed on an RT limited 2015
