• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I have seen some websites advertising these. Thinking of getting one. Does anyone have one and what is your opinion of them? Really need one in Central Texas.

Thanks for reminding me; I forgot I had one.

The lower the humidity, the better they work. I like mine. Just make sure it fits tight, which helps with the evaporation process.

That being said, someone found a site last year where what they were selling didn't require it be wetted down. Someone did purchase and said it worked, I wish they chime in

Found the site: http://www.ldcomfort.com/
The shirt can be wetted down.

I have one wet put in the refrigerator - a shock :yikes:- when you first put it on but it helps

We have two kool vests and used them last Thursday for the first time this summer. We rode about 150 miles with the temperature over 100 degrees and it was comfortable. We re-wet the vests about halfway through the ride since the humidity was low enough to dry them out fairly quickly. In my opinion, they do help especially if the humidity is low. You can find them in a number of places but here's a link to a Fieldsheer vest at motorcyclegear.com, formerly known as Newenough.com

:roflblack::roflblack: We haven't seen 70 degrees yet this year! :gaah:

I know, us either. In fact we are still getting rained on. Got rained on this morning; not much but enough to irritate ya! I know that's nothing to y'all up in the Great North Wet, but down here it's news! :roflblack:

I wear a vest, but its Icon Field Armor. Love it. You don't even know you have it on. If it ever gets warm here I'll be abe to test out how it does in heat, :spyder:
