A nice two day ride from the Phoenix area.
We left Gold Canyon for Kitt Peak, Florence, Coolidge, South on 287. Just short of I-10 we turned East on E Milligan Rd, South on S Vail Rd, to Frontage Rd that runs on the North side of I-10 24.6 miles vs running I-10 to Manara and lunch at McDonalds. Then South to Highway 86 and up Kitt Peak. Took 86 back into Tucson to the Comfort Suites at Sabino Canyon on the East side, and close to the road to Mount Lemon. Had a very nice dinner at Canyon Crown Restaurant and Bar across the road from the motel. Left the motel at 8:30 am to go up Mount Lemon. Very scenic ride. Come back down and turned right at the same motel and skirted around the North side of of Tucson and had a nice lunch at Budd's Grub in Catalina, then 79 back to Florence Junction and the 60 back to Gold Canyon. Must have NEVER been an Earthquake in Arizona as a million stacked rocks would no longer be stacked.
