Over the winter, there were a few days that were too cold for Teddy to Ryde, and I hated leave'n the lil guy home all alone so I went to the pound & adopted him his own pet:roflblack:

At the time, she was just a cute lil fluff-ball of a kitten that fit in the palm of my hands Now, at 6 months, she's bigger than Teddy & beats the :cus: out of him whenever she feels like it:helpsmilie:

Try'n to groom her has been a never ending battle:gaah: but armed with this lil trick, I might actually have the upper hand :yes:

Ok, I'll admit itpps: I might let him get a couple of licks in as well :roflblack:

I would try it using your hand first--- pick your catboy up by the scruff and get a feel for what area works best and how much pressure, etc....

It's a very natural thing as this is how their mothers carry them-- even in the wild - large cats carry the same way. Must be some kind of 'spock-like' nerve pinch in that area---- I thought it was pretty cool indeed......

Note--- if you're actually going to CARRY a cat in this manner (grabbing by the scruff of the neck) you should support the underside of the cat with your other hand....
